The Institute of Innate Immunity was established at the University of Bonn in 2010.



Major aims of the institute are to

  • elucidate how the innate immune system maintains health and under which circumstances it promotes diseases. 

  • train scientists at all career levels in the field of innate immunity.

  • develop novel therapeutic approaches for inflammatory diseases.
